Learn Alawa while colouring in and adding your own designs to this colouring book. 36 pages full of Aboriginal words and illustrations.
The Alawa Colouring book was made by the community of Minyerri, located in the Roper region of the Northern Territory. It features 36 pages of beautiful illustrations and activities about local bush foods and animals, incorporating Alawa, the traditional language of Minyerri.
The idea for this book came from artists and Elders who were interested in teaching the language to their children, as well as sharing aspects of their culture to other children all across Australia!
This limited edition run of 500 prints was printed in Australia on 100% recycled paper, with proceeds going back to the community to fund further language projects.
