3D Wooden Spring Flowers

Step 1Assemble your 3D wooden flower before decorating to ensure easy construction. For permanent assembly you will need to glue the base pieces together.
Step 2Paint your flower in a base coat of white paint and allow it to dry. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
Step 3Paint your flower, stem and pot in bright glitter paint colours (glitter paint will add sparkle). Look to our 3D flowers for inspiration or come up with your own colour combinations.
Step 4Use CleverGlitz to add extra sparkle and definition
Step 5To create the crepe paper flower rip up small pieces of crepe paper. Scrunch the small crepe paper pieces up and glue them to the centre of the flower in a circle approximately 6 x 6cm. Mix a couple of colours like orange and pink or yellow and orange in the centre for a pretty effect.
Step 6You may like to add petals, buttons, paper leaves or felt trim for extra decoration
Step 7To create the photo frame flower choose a photo to glue to the centre of your flower. Cut out a photograph (approx 6cm round), cover the back in glue and stick to the centre of your flower.
When working with photos, try photocopying your photos rather than cutting up an original!
