Step 1First, download the template. Using sticky tape, stick the body of the bird onto a piece of blue cardboard.
Step 2Cut the main body shape out using scissors. Repeat this process with the wings using tissue paper. Adult supervision recommended when using scissors.
Step 3Stick the wings onto the construction foam using sticky tape. Use the body of the bird as a reference when positioning the wings.
Step 4To create a tail, attach the feathers to the foam board using tape.
Step 5Apply glue over the total surface of the bird’s body and stick it on top of the wings and tail.
Step 6To complete the bird’s face, use a small yellow triangle for the beak and stick on wiggle eyes.
Step 7Inflate a balloon then rub it vigorously into your hair.
Step 8Immediately place the balloon down on top of the tissue paper and lift it up and down to reveal the birds flapping wings!
