Wooden Jewellery Tree

Transform this wooden tree into a beautiful jewellery holder for mum! The buttons are perfect for holding all of her earrings and it will look great on display. This tree can be decorated in a number of ways. Use the steps below as a decorative guide and mix up the techniques to create a unique combination of your own!

  • Step 1Assemble your 3D tree before decorating for easy construction. For permanent assembly you will need to glue the pieces together.
  • Step 2Give your tree a coat of white paint. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Paint your tree in a bright colour. Allow to dry.
  • Step 4To create sparkly lines, use Cleverglitz to draw along the edges of the tree.
  • Lie your tree down while decorating so that the objects will not slide off while they are drying.
  • Step 6To make the leaves, cut out small shapes from green paper and attach them to the tree with glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 7Glue some large buttons on the tree. Allow to dry. You may like to add some rhinestone flowers for extra sparkle!
  • Make sure the button holes are horizontal so that your earrings will hang evenly!
