Wooden Insect Mobile

  • Step 1Begin by giving your wooden insect shapes and the top bars a coat of white paint. Allow to dry. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
  • Step 2Paint your insects and the top bars in bright colours. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Gently paint over your insects and top bar with a coat of glitter paint. This will add a touch of sparkle. Allow to dry.
  • Step 4Add wiggle eyes to your insects using PVA glue and draw smiles on their faces using a marker.
  • Step 5Further decorate your insects using sequins. Attach with glue.
  • Step 6Tie some gold thread onto each insect and attach to the top bars.
  • Step 7Finally tie a loop above the top bars to hang your mobile.
