Step 1Collage Bunny Keyring: There are many different collage materials that can be used to bring your wooden bunny shape to life. We started by colouring the shape using permanent markers and adding in some details such as the ears and nose with a permanent pen. We have glued sequins on as a headband and rosy cheeks, plus a pom pom nose. Wiggle eyes were glued on to complete the face then we added a touch of sparkle with glue and glitter on the ears. Allow to dry completely before adding a split ring through the hole provided. Your Collage Bunny Keyring is now ready to use or gift!
Step 2Watercolour Bunny Keyring: Choose two or more watercolours that are going to blend into a nice gradient. We have chosen pink, orange and yellow, but you may wish to choose your own colours and even do some experimenting on scrap paper first. When you are happy with your chosen colours, paint the wooden bunny shape and allow to dry. Use a permanent pen to add in any details you wish. We’ve kept it simple and added a basic outline and stylised face. You might want to add an all over pattern or a complete bunny face – it’s up to you! Thread both ends of the tassel hanger through some wooden beads. Push one loose end of the tassel hanger through the hole in the wooden bunny shape and then tie both ends together. Add a split ring through the hole. Your Watercolour Bunny Keyring is now ready to use or gift!
Step 3Decoupage Bunny Keyring: Begin by colouring your wooden bunny shape black using a permanent marker. Arrange pieces of marbled paper over the top of the bunny shape until you are happy with your design. You can cut pieces down to a smaller size but don’t worry if there’s paper hanging over the edge at this stage. Glue the pieces down in place and allow to dry. Trim any overhanging paper. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Thread a split ring with snap hook onto the bunny shape through the hole provided. Cut 30cm of elastic and fold in half. Attach to the split ring using a cow hitch knot, positioning it behind the bunny shape so it doesn’t cover your design. Thread star beads and alphabet pony beads onto the loose ends of the elastic to form a pattern and/or message. When you are happy with your design, tie the ends of the elastic in a knot to hold the beads in place. Trim any excess elastic. Your Decoupage Bunny Keyring is now ready to use or gift!
