Step 1Take inspiration from the pages of “The Truck Cat” and use watercolours to paint each piece of the layered cat. Don’t forget some pink for inside the ears as well as white for Tinka’s paws and tip of his tail.
Step 2Layer the 3 pieces and use a permanent pen to add details such as Tinka’s eyes, paws and fur.
Step 3Cut a length of macrame cord and thread it through the holes in the top of the wooden pieces. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Tie the ends of the macrame cord in a knot to create a hanger.
Step 4Your Layered Tinka Cat is now ready to display! Older students may even wish to flip the cat over and do a short character analysis of Tinka on the back!
