How to Assemble a Wooden Hanging Bird Feeder

No bird will be able to resist eating from this adorable Wooden Hanging Bird Feeder! Follow our instructions to construct your own before decorating with your choice of materials.
  • Step 1Insert the 4 side pieces into the slots of the square base piece using a rocking motion.
  • Step 2Place the flower piece on top of the side pieces, aligning the side tabs with the slots in the flower piece. Press the flower piece into place. Add glue along all of the joins to secure in place and allow to dry.
  • Step 3Decorate your bird feeder using your choice of decorating materials. Allow to dry if needed. It is also recommended to use a sealer (such as Outdoor Mod Podge®) for protection if hanging outdoors. Allow to dry.
  • Step 4Cut your piece of twine into 5 equal lengths. Tie a knot in an end of a length. Thread the other end through a hole in the flower, pulling through until the knot catches underneath. Repeat for the remaining lengths and holes in the flower.
  • Step 5Gather the twine lengths together, making sure the flower is sitting level. Tie the lengths together at the top to create a hanger.
  • Step 6Your Wooden Bird Feeder is now ready to hang!
