Step 1Download and print the template provided onto cover paper. Decorate your Reindeer using markers or pencils. Cut out the template pieces. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. You can decorate the back of the template pieces as well if you wish.
Step 2Choose a colour of yarn to create a pom pom. Place two cardboard pom pom maker shapes together and wrap with a minimum of 18m of yarn. Each loop of yarn should wrap through the middle hole in the cardboard shapes and back around the outside until the entire shape is covered.
Step 3Cut through the yarn around the outer edge of your pom pom maker, running your scissors between the two cardboard shapes.
Step 4Loop the centre of a 30cm length of yarn in between your pom pom maker shapes and tie tightly in a double knot. This will secure your loose yarn pieces together.
Step 5Remove the cardboard shapes. Tie the ends of the longer yarn lengths together to create a hanger. Trim the remaining yarn into a round pom pom shape.
Step 6Use tacky glue to attach the template pieces to the front and back of the pom pom. Allow to dry.
Step 7Your Pom Pom Reindeer is now ready to hang on your Christmas Tree!
