Step 1Decide how many bunnies you would like to include on your bunting. Download the bunting template and print as many copies as you require onto white cardboard. Decorate the ear shapes with markers before cutting them out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Cut a 15m length of white yarn and wrap it around your fingers as shown, using your thumb to hold the yarn as you start. Continue wrapping the yarn around your hand until you reach the end of the length. Try not to wrap too tightly so you can easily remove the bundle of looped yarn from your hand.
Step 3Cut a 20cm length of white yarn. Wrap it around the middle of your yarn bundle to hold the loops together. Secure it with a double knot. Ensure the knot is pulled tight so the yarn is secure.
Step 4Place your scissors through the loops on one side of the yarn bundle and cut all the loops. Repeat on the other side. Trim the yarn to create a fluffy pom pom.
Step 5Repeat steps 2 - 4 to create enough pom poms for your chosen number of bunnies.
Step 6Cut a length of jute twine that will be long enough to hold all of your bunnies (we have used 1m). Place a pom pom over the twine, 30cm in from one end. Tie the twine around the middle of the pom pom. Place the next pom pom 10cm along from the first and tie the twine around it to attach. Continue tying on each pom pom until all are attached to the twine. Trim the end of the twine 30cm from the last pom pom.
CleverTip: If you are making a larger bunting, you will need to cut a longer length. The length will depend on the amount of pom pom bunnies you make.
Step 7Glue two ears to the top of each pom pom. Allow to dry.
Step 8Glue two wiggle eyes and a small coloured pom pom to the front of each of your bunnies to create a face. Allow to dry.
Step 9Create a looped knot in each end of the twine to hang your bunting. Your Pom Pom Bunny Bunting is now ready to display!
