Papier Mache

Papier mache is a great craft product for a quick, simple and creative activity!

Square Fish Box

All the fish are swimming in the water, swimming in the water. But not this one! This one's defying fish rules and living on the land helping you to keep your bits and bobs sorted. He's a storage fish! Or a gift box fish! Either way he's a caring fish...

Search terms: under the sea, ocean, water, marine life.

  • Step 1Begin by giving your box a coat of white paint. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting. Allow to dry.
  • Step 2Paint your box purple. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Cut out 2 triangular lips from cover paper. Fold them in half to help them stick out and attach to the front of your box with glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 4Paint a white lip around the edge of your fish’s mouth. Allow to dry.
  • Step 5Cut out some small squares of tissue paper. Layer about 3 small squares on top of each other and bunch them together in one corner to create a fin. Attach with glue. Repeat this process to create his other fin.
  • Step 6Place some wiggle eyes on the lid of your box to complete your fish’s face. Attach with glue. Allow to dry.
