Celebrate Reconciliation Week with our free printable colouring sheet. National Reconciliation Week occurs every year from the 27th of May to the 3rd of June and commemorates the success of the 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision. Reconciliation Week is about strengthening respectful relationships between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians.
This artwork was created by Kerri-Ann Taggart (aka ‘KEZ’), an Indigenous digital artist from the Wonnarua area in the Hunter Valley of NSW.
Kez’s artwork represents “Everyone coming together, learning and healing. The two hands reaching for the gathering symbol are what we are striving for; coming together - sharing the Indigenous culture for all of Australia. The paths branching from the central piece flow past family/people symbols showing how strengthening relationships between Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous people can benefit of all Australia.”
