Step 1Download the template and print both pages onto white paper. We recommend cover paper as this provides a great surface for folding and decorating.
Step 2Use pencils or markers to colour in the two summer scene images from the template.
It’s best to use contrasting colours for each image to enhance the final product. We suggest using warmer colours for the sunrise and cooler colours for the image with the dolphin.
Step 3Cut around the solid outline for each scene and then cut along the dotted lines to turn each scene into paper strips. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 4Cut around the outside of the rectangle grid on the first page of the template. Accordion fold the grid along the lines as pictured.
Step 5Each panel of your grid is labelled with numbers 1-4 and letters a-d. Match the letters and numbers on each of your summer scene paper strips to the corresponding panel on the grid. Use glue to secure the strips in the correct panel. Allow to dry.
Step 6Stick the flaps on either side of the folded grid flat onto an A4 piece of cover paper, making sure the concertinaed paper sits up. Allow to dry.
Step 7It’s time to view your masterpiece! As you move from one side of the artwork to the other, the individual Summer Scenes will present themselves!
