Step 1Download and print the templates provided onto white cardboard. This will make for sturdy construction of your card. Decorate the template pieces with markers or pencils and cut them out around the outer lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Make sure to cut out the circle in the middle of the smaller rectangle piece too.
Step 2Take the large rectangle piece and valley fold along the grey, dotted lines. This will fold the side flaps inwards to form the front of the card.

Step 3Mountain fold along the grey dotted lines of the two flag shaped pieces then unfold. Open the flaps of the card and position the flag pieces in the middle, as shown. Make sure the bottom point of the flag on the right is below the flag on the left and vice versa for the top points.
Step 4Now you know where the flags need to be positioned, add a strip of double sided tape along the folded tab. Reposition them in the centre of the card, remove the backing paper of the tape and close the flaps of the card. The flag pieces will now be stuck onto the flaps of the card when you open it back up.
Step 5Open the flaps all the way and hold the flag pieces flat. Place the circle frame template piece over the top and position in the centre.
Step 6Use a strip of double sided tape at the top and bottom on the back of the circle frame piece to attach it in place. The flag pieces will now be held underneath the frame and as you open and close the flaps they will slide in and out, revealing a space in the middle of the card.
Step 7Choose either the star or the heart to decorate the front of your card – we have chosen the star. Fold the shape in half, unfold then cut down the folded line. Use double sided tape to stick one half to either side of card flaps down the centre line, as shown.
Step 8Open the card and write a message in the space revealed using a permanent pen. You can also add more to your message by writing around the circle frame.
Step 9Your Message Reveal Card is now ready to gift to someone special!
