Merry Christmas Spinning Card

Spread some Christmas cheer to your friends and family with this fun DIY Christmas Card! Use our free template pieces to construct a spinning message card – you could even flip the wheel piece over and create your own personalised message!
  • Step 1Download and print the Spinning Card template provided. We recommend printing onto cardboard as this will ensure sturdy construction.
  • Step 2Decorate the template pieces using markers, pencils or paint. Allow to dry if needed.
  • Step 3Cut out the template pieces. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
  • Step 4Take a paper fastener and push it through the black dot in the middle of the wheel piece, then through the black dot on the front of the card piece. Bend the backs of the paper fastener to hold the wheel in place on front of the card. Make sure the paper fastener is still loose enough to allow the wheel to spin freely.
  • Step 5Mountain fold the card in half along the grey dotted line.
  • Step 6Mountain fold the two grey dotted lines on the front template piece. Place the template over the front of the card, folding the right-hand tab around the front flap of the card and the left-hand tab around the back of the card. Align the bottom edge of the front piece with the bottom edge of the card. The wheel should be sticking out slightly along the bottom of the card. Glue the tabs of the front piece in place and allow to dry.
  • Step 7Write a message inside the card to your friend or family member.
  • Step 8Your Merry Christmas Spinning Card is now complete! Use the small section of wheel at the bottom of the card to spin the wheel around, revealing your Merry Christmas message.
