Step 1Download and print the template provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper as it is sturdy for construction. Cut the templates out along the grey solid lines and decorate both sides of each piece with markers or pencils. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Gather the four long strip template pieces then bring the short ends together to fold each in half. This will help to indicate where to assemble the pieces together. Unfold all pieces then lay them flat. Form a cross by putting one piece over the other, then glue where the two pieces meet. Diagonally place a third strip on top of the cross and apply glue to the centre to secure it in place. Repeat this in the opposite direction for the final piece. Allow to dry.
Step 3Create loops by attaching the opposite ends of each strip together, overlapping in the air then gluing the ends on top of each other. Repeat until all strips have been glued to form a sphere shape. This will form your frog’s body. Allow to dry.
Step 4Attach the body to the lily pad baseplate with glue, aligning the body with the feet. Allow to dry.
Step 5Glue the oval template piece on top of the body. Take the small strip template piece and fold along each of the dotted lines. Overlap the short end over the first fold on the other end to create a triangle. Use glue to secure. Apply glue to the shortest side of the triangle and attach it to the top of the oval. This piece will support the head. Allow to dry.
Step 6Use glue to attach the head to the front of the triangle support piece. Allow to dry.
Step 7Your Bouncy Frog is now complete! Push down slightly on the head to see your frog bounce.
