Step 1Cut 2 pieces of felt, using our picture as a guide, to create the body of the giraffe. Make sure to make the pieces big enough to fit on your hand. Join together the two pieces of felt by stitching them together using a running stitch, leave the bottom open so you can put your hand in your puppet. For a quicker, easier option glue the puppet together instead.
Step 2Look to our puppet and use the templates provided or come up with your own safari puppet designs. Print out the animal template and trace each piece onto felt and cut out. Using our picture as a guide (We have labelled each part of the face to help you!), layer the face pieces and glue in place when happy. Allow to dry.
Step 3Glue two large wiggle eyes to the face of your hand puppet. Allow to dry.
Step 4Attach the face onto your hand puppet using glue. Allow to dry.
Step 5Lastly add some spots (cut from extra felt) to your puppet with glue. Allow to dry.
Step 6Your Felt Giraffe Hand Puppet is now complete!
