Cone Castle

This beautiful castle is fit for a fairy princess. Imagine all of the wonderful adventures that could take place here!

Search terms: princess and princesses, once upon a time, kings and queens, let's pretend, medieval, fort, fortress, tower, palace, imaginary play, pretend play.

  • Step 1Roughly rip up tissue paper into small pieces. Coat the cone in slightly watered down PVA glue and cover the cone in the tissue paper pieces while the glue is still wet. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
  • Step 2Paint your cone purple. While the paint is still wet sprinkle on some glitter to add extra sparkle. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Using scissors cut out two small windows and a draw bridge from a foam sheet. Use a hot glue gun to attach them to your cone.
  • You may need an adult’s help when using a hot glue gun.
  • Step 5To create the towers cut two rectangles from a foam sheet. Cut a castle top pattern from the top of each rectangle. Cut a small window from each tower.
  • Step 6Roll your towers and secure with hot glue. Trace the bottoms of your towers onto a foam sheet, expand your circle 1cm and use as a guide to cut out the base of your tower.
  • Step 7Attach to the base of your towers with hot glue.
  • Step 8Cut a curve from the tower base, where you would like to attach it to your castle and attach with hot glue.
  • Step 9Attach your drawbridge and windows with hot glue. Add some sparkle detail with CleverGlitz. Allow to dry.
