Bean Bag Toss

Dad will love playing this game with you. Each player throws 3 bean bags at the board. 3 points if your bean bag goes in the hole. 1 point if your bag lands on the board. The first person to 21 wins!

  • Step 1Cut 2 squares of felt approximately 70mm x 70mm.
  • Step 2Use a blanket stitch to sew the squares together. Click here to see our step-by-step Blanket Stitch instructions.
  • Step 3Don’t forget to leave a small hole to fill your bag.
  • Step 4Fill your bean bag with about 95g of dry beans or rice and sew it closed. Repeat this process to create 3 orange bean bags and 3 blue bean bags.
  • You might like to use a paper funnel to help guide the beans into your bag.
  • Step 6Use a hot glue gun to attach a wooden plate stand to the back of a project board. This holds it up off the ground.
  • Step 7Attach a square frame to the top of your board with hot glue.
  • Step 8Add extra supports using wooden spools. This will provide further stability.
  • Step 9Paint your board a bright colour. Be sure to wait until the paint is dry before you play.
  • Step 10Now you’re ready to play! Game on!
