Step 1Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your necklace. Once you have a design, transfer it lightly onto your necklace using a pencil. Paint your necklace. Allow to dry.
If you don’t have a needle with a large eye, simply wrap some tape around the end of the ribbon so it looks like a shoelace. This will make it easier to thread the beads onto the ribbon.
Step 3Cut a long length of ribbon and thread it through a needle with a large eye.
Step 4Thread your first bead onto the ribbon a little past half way. Tie a knot either side of the bead.
Step 5Continue threading the rest of the beads onto your necklace, tying a knot after each bead to hold it in place. To finish the necklace, tie knots at the loose ends of the ribbon.
