Capiz Earrings

Step 1Think about your design before you begin creating your earrings.
Step 2Cut some beading wire that will be long enough to attach to your shepherd hooks and hold three of the capiz pieces.
Step 3To create the decorative section of your earrings, attach a capiz piece diagonally along your eye pin. Attach with a hot glue gun.
Adult supervision and assistance is required while using the hot glue gun.
Step 5Place a capiz piece of the same colour on the back of the one previously glued, to ensure the earring will look the same from both sides. Attach with a hot glue gun.
Step 6Continue this process of sticking capiz pieces onto the eye pin until the whole pin is covered.
Step 7Once you are happy with the decorated eye pin, use a jump ring to connect the eye pin to the shepherds hook. Use jewellery pliers to bend the jump ring open and closed.
Step 8Repeat this process to create another matching earring.
