Paper Heart Valentine’s Day Card

Download Activity Template

Let that special someone know how much you love them this Valentine’s Day with our Paper Heart Card!

  • Step 1Print out the card template by clicking the Download Activity Template button. We recommend using copy paper for a sturdier card.
  • Step 2Use markers or pencils to colour in your template pieces.
  • Step 3Cut out your decorated template pieces. We recommend adult supervision when using scissors.
  • Step 4Take the large shape from page two of the template and accordion fold along the dotted lines.
  • Not sure how to accordion fold? Take a peek at our Basic Origami Folds video!
  • Step 5Place the folded shape on a desk or flat surface, then bring the two ends together and align them to create a heart shape. Secure with glue and allow to dry.
  • Step 6Attach the circle labelled ‘Back’ to the centre of the folded heart using glue. Flip the heart over and glue the circle with the heart to the centre of your folded heart. Allow to dry.
  • Step 7Fold your card template piece in half along the centre line so your design faces outwards. Glue your paper heart on the front of the card where indicated, making sure the circle with the heart is facing upwards. Allow to dry.
  • Step 8Your card is now ready for you to write a note to your Valentine!
