Teacup Gift Holder

Create this Teacup Gift Holder and fill it with treats for Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day!
  • Step 1Decorate your teacup and saucer using paint markers. Allow to dry. Assemble your cardboard teacup and saucer. Allow to dry if needed.

  • Step 2Print and cut out one of the heart templates provided. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Trace the heart onto coloured cover paper and cut out. Write a special message onto the heart and decorate with glitter glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Use a paint marker to colour a straw to match the heart. Allow to dry. Use sticky tape to attach the heart to one end of the straw.
  • Step 4Cut four small slits around the other end of the straw and fold the pieces out so they sit at right angles from the straw.
  • Step 5Using sticky tape, attach the flat base of the straw to the inside base of your teacup. Ensure it stands up straight and use as much tape as you need.
  • Step 6Line the teacup with some tissue paper, making sure to cover the base of the straw where it is attached to the teacup.
  • Step 7Place some treats inside the teacup – tea bags are a fitting addition! Your Teacup Gift Holder is now ready to display or gift!
