Pretty Flared Porcelain Mugs

These unique flared porcelain mugs make beautiful gifts for Mother's Day. They would look nice as a drink mug but could also be used for little chocolate gifts or even as jewellery holders! The possibilities are endless!

Our Porcelain Flared Mugs can be decorated with using our Glass & Porcelain Markers. Mugs must be baked in a household oven before to ensure a permanent design.

  • Step 1Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your porcelain mug. Once you have a design, transfer it lightly onto your mug using a pencil or free hand draw if you are confident.
  • Store your markers horizontally (flat) and always replace the cap immediately after using, even if you are just taking a short break. This will stop the ink from drying out.
  • Step 3Shake your markers well before use.
  • Step 4Press the tip of your marker gently and repeatedly to start the ink flow. Do this on some scrap paper, you may need to repeat this step each time you use your markers to get the ink flowing!
  • Step 5Fill in your design using the markers
  • Step 6Once dry, place your mug in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your mug for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
  • Remember when baking your mug, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your mug to crack. Instead, put your mug in a cold oven, then turn the oven on.
