Step 1Clean your porcelain vase with soapy water and dry well. When applying the porcelain markers be careful not to be over generous as the paint can drip as it dries. Shake the markers well before use.
Step 2Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your vase. Look to our design above for inspiration or come up with your own.
Step 3Copy your design onto your vase with porcelain markers. Allow the markers and paint to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
Step 4Once dry, place the vase in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your vase for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
Remember, when baking your plate, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your vase to crack. Instead, put your vase in a cold oven, then turn the oven on.
Step 6To create flowers, use a pencil to draw a flower shape onto a sheet of foam. Cut out with scissors.
Step 7Fold a chenille stem in half and tape 1 end to the back of your flower. Repeat with the other end.
Step 8Glue buttons to the centre of your flowers.
