Portrait Collaborative Wall Art

Decorate your classroom for Harmony Week with this Portrait Collaborative Wall Art!
  • Step 1Think about your self-portrait design for your wooden hexagon and sketch it on some scrap paper. Plan what colours and elements you would like to include. This isn’t essential, but helps with planning your design.
  • Step 2Paint one side of your wooden hexagon shape and allow it to fully dry.
  • Step 3Use a pencil to lightly draw your portrait design onto the painted hexagon.
  • Step 4Use paint or paint markers to decorate your portrait. This activity works best with simple shapes and bold, contrasting colours – time to get creative! When you’re finished with your portrait, don’t forget to write your name before leaving it to fully dry.
  • Step 5Combine your hexagons by securing them to your classroom wall with Blu Tack. Now you’re ready to show off your Collaborative Artwork!
