Step 1Print out the template provided on A3 cover paper and colour in the pieces using pencils or markers. Cut out each piece of the template using scissors. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Glue each piece of the template to cardboard and cut out.
Step 3Use a hole punch to create holes in each piece of the template where the circles are.
Step 4Attach the arms and legs to the body using paper fasteners. Align the bottom holes of the arms and legs with the body shape holes and push the paper fasteners through from the front side. Bend back the ends of the paper fastener to hold the arms and legs in place firmly, whilst also allowing movement.
Step 5Cut a piece of yarn approximately 4cm long. Tie the yarn from one of the arms top holes across to the opposite arms top hole. Be sure that the yarn is tight across when the arms are placed in the down position.
Step 6Cut a piece of yarn approximately 6cm long. Tie the yarn from one of the legs top holes across to the opposite legs top hole. Be sure that the yarn is tight across when the legs are straight up and down.
Step 7Cut a piece of string 35cm long. Tie one end of the string to the centre of the string connecting the arms. Lay the rest of the string down through the centre line of the body and attach to the centre of the string connecting the legs.
Step 8Attach a wooden skewer to the bottom of the body piece using sticky tape. Now pull on the bottom of the string and watch your Frankenstein’s Monster move!
