Egg Carton Bat

Create a spooky Floating Bat using paint and an egg carton! The perfect DIY decoration for Halloween.
  • Step 1Cut the egg carton tray so you have a row of three egg wells. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Paint the egg wells black and allow to dry.
  • Step 2Paint two pointy white teeth onto the middle egg well as shown.
  • Step 3Stick two eyes onto the egg carton above the teeth.
  • Step 4Pierce a hole through the top of the middle egg well with scissors or a sharp pencil. Adult supervision is recommended. Thread a 40cm length of white elastic through the hole and create a double knot to hold in place under the egg well. Create a loop for hanging at the other end of the elastic and tie a knot to secure.
  • Step 5Your Egg Carton Bat is now ready to display!
