Batty Pom Pom Bag Tag

Step 1Make a large pom pom. Place the end of the black wool between 2 cardboard rolls and start winding the wool around both rolls. Build up a nice amount of wool on the rolls and cut the wool from the ball when happy. The more wool you use will result in a fuller, fluffier pom pom!
Step 2Cut an extra length of wool approximately 40cm long to wrap around the middle of the wool, in between the cardboard rolls. Tie the length of wool in the middle and push the cardboard rolls out of the wrapped wool ball.
Step 3You’ll notice both ends of the wool consists of loops. Use scissors to carefully cut these loops open.
Step 4Fluff up your pom pom & trim the ends of the wool to create a round pom pom shape.
Step 5Take the key ring and chain. Thread one strand of pom pom wool through the bottom link of the chain and then tie it in a double knot to a neighbouring strand of pom pom wool to hold the key ring and chain in place.
Step 6Position the pom pom so the key ring and chain is on top and in the middle. Push back some of the pom pom strands and position where you want the wiggle eyes to sit. Once you are happy, use glue dots to attach them in place.
Step 7Take a sheet of black foam and draw a bat wing on one side. You can position your pom pom at the side so you know what size and shape to make it.
Step 8Fold the foam sheet in half and cut around your wing shape to create 2 bat wings.
Step 9Stick glue dots to either side of the small end of the first wing. Push back the pom pom threads on the side of the bat and push the sticky end of the wing deep into the centre of the pom pom. Pinch it in place and fluff the pom pom up around the wing. Repeat this method to attach the second wing to the opposite side and complete the bat. Your cute pom pom bat is now ready to attach to your bag!
