Superhero Sleeping Mask

Create Dad a super mask so he can have superhero dreams this Father's Day! You can decorate this mask to suit the superhero style of your Dad in his favourite colours and superhero powers!

  • Step 1Begin by cutting 2 identical eye mask shapes from coloured felt. We made our mask approximately 17cm long.
  • Step 2Cut out decorative features from coloured felt. You could use lightening bolts or stars! Attach to your mask with fabric glue.
  • Step 3Cut a length of elastic approximately 30cm long. Tie the loose ends to secure.
  • Step 4Thread a needle with yarn and sew the 2 main eye mask shapes together using a blanket stitch. See our Blanket Stitch Sewing Tips and Techniques for more information. Sew the elastic into the eye mask as you stitch the pieces together.
  • Step 5Now your sleeping mask is ready to wear. Dad will love it!
