Step 1Inflate 2 balloons to a small egg shape that fits comfortably in your hand. You can pinch and squeeze them to get them into more of an egg shape if they turn out too round.
Step 2Put down some scrap paper or a splash mat to protect your work surface and put on some gloves to protect your hands. Cut the Mod-Rock roll into small, easy to use strips and fill a shallow dish with warm water.
Step 3Dip the Mod-Rock strips one at a time into the bowl of warm water. Squeeze out excess water into the bowl before laying the strip over the balloon. Continue until the balloons are covered, leaving the knotted end sticking out. Allow to dry completely. Be sure to put aside a couple of strips of Mod-Rock which will be used later on.
Step 4Once the Mod-Rock is completely dry, carefully hold onto the knotted end and use scissors to create a hole in the balloon. As the balloon deflates, you will be able to pull the balloon carefully out of the egg shape.
Step 5Use a funnel (or create one from paper as we have) to pour a small handful of beads into the shakers. Once filled, take the remaining strips of Mod-Rock to seal the holes using the same method as before. Allow to dry.
Step 6Carefully use PVA and a glue brush to apply confetti all over your egg shakers. Allow to dry.
Step 7To finish your shakers, add a coat of Mod Podge. This will not only add a nice touch of shine to your shakers, it will also give it an extra layer of protection. Allow to dry and you're ready to shake your tail feather!
