Step 1Decorate your wooden bunny egg shape with your chosen decorating materials and allow to dry if needed.
Step 2Decide what message you want to include using the alphabet beads and what colours of pony beads you’d like to combine them with. Lay out your design as you would like it to appear on your bag tag.
Step 3Thread the split ring from a metal keyring with snap hook through the hole in the ear of the wooden bunny egg shape.
Step 4Cut a length of elastic, making sure it is at least 5cm longer than the length of the beads for your message when doubled over. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Attach it to the split ring using a cow hitch knot.
Step 5Begin threading your beads onto both ends of the elastic in their correct order. If the ends of the elastic begin to fray a little and pushing them through the alphabet beads becomes difficult, simply give the ends a small trim.
Step 6Continue to thread the beads on until your design is complete. You should have at least a couple of centimetres of elastic at the ends of the beads.
Step 7Tie at least 3 knots in the end of the elastic, making sure the knots are big enough to secure the final bead in place so they can’t slide off the elastic.
