Story of the Poppies

Do you know the story behind the poppy flower and why it is so commonly used in commemoration? Learn the story of the poppy as you colour in and create a beautiful wreath artwork.

  • Step 1Print out your template. We recommend you print it on cover paper. This will provide a great surface for decorating.
  • Step 2Colour in your BLM. We have used watercolour, you can also use pencils, markers or paint. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Cut out your poppies, leaves and story, then glue onto an A3 piece of cardboard. Glue the story in the centre and arrange the poppies and leaves around the outside to form a wreath.
  • You may wish to decorate the space around the outside of the wreath as well.
