Step 1Download our template and use scissors to cut out your donkey’s head from grey card. Cut and fringe a thin strip of card for your donkey’s tail. Look to our design for inspiration.
Step 2Cut a strip of white paper and attach to your donkey’s snout with glue. Use a red marker to draw a cross. Add detail to your donkey’s face with a black marker. Colour the end of your donkey’s tail black.
Step 3Paint a cardboard roll grey. Cut four slots in the bottom of the roll to poke your donkey’s peg legs through.
Step 4Paint four half peg segments grey. Once dry, insert them into your cardboard roll.
Step 5Use a Stanley knife to cut a slot in the top of your cardboard roll to insert your donkey’s head.
Step 6Carefully insert your donkey’s head into the cardboard roll.
Step 7Cut a white rectangle of paper approximately 3.5cm x 6.5cm. This will be your donkey’s blanket. Use scissors to fringe and a red texta to draw two crosses.
Step 8Paint your donkey’s hooves black, drape the blanket over the back and attach the tail. Allow to dry.
