Terracotta Pot Elf

  • You can use either fabric glue or a hot glue gun for this step.
  • Step 1Using the template provided, cut out your elf's hat from Christmas fabric.
  • You may need more than one knot so that the bead does not slide off.
  • Step 2Shape it into a Santa hat and check that it fits around the top of the terracotta pot before gluing it together.
  • Step 3Paint the terracotta pot with a skin tone and paint the rim red for his shirt collar. Set aside to dry.
  • Step 4Glue the hat around the top of the pot.
  • Step 5Glue a piece of green ribbon around the bottom of the hat.
  • Step 6Cut out a strip of green adhesive felt about 24x1.5cm. Cut triangles into one side of the strip all the way along..
  • Step 7Peel the backing from the strip and attach to the red section of the terracotta pot to make his green collar.
  • Step 8Add wiggle eyes and a face to your elf.
  • Step 9Cut two pieces of green ribbon approximately 12cm long. Tie a knot in one end and thread a large bead onto each ribbon.
  • Step 10Tape or glue the ribbons inside the pot at the front to be your elf's legs. He is complete!
