Tis’ the season to get crafty with our Christmas craft ideas. We will get you in the Christmas spirit with hundreds of activities to choose from.

Origami Wreath Decoration

  • Choosing two contrasting colours works well or you may like to go more vintage with sheet music or book pages!
  • Step 1Cut out 8 rectangles of patterned paper, 4x8cm each.
  • Use both hands held around the entire decoration to push all the pieces together at the same time.
  • Step 2Fold your rectangle in half lengthwise with the pattern on the outside.
  • Step 3Fold the piece in half crosswise and make a firm crease.
  • Step 4Fold up the corner of one side.
  • Step 5Repeat with the other corner.
  • Step 6Fold the piece back together with the open side up.
  • Step 7Repeat instructions with the remaining seven rectangles.
  • Step 8Hold one piece where it is folded and carefully push the pointed ends into the paper slits at the top of another piece.
  • Step 9Push the pieces together until they fit nicely.
  • Step 10Pick up another piece and push its points into the slits of the previous piece.
  • Step 11Repeat with all remaining pieces.
  • Step 12Push the last piece in to create a circle and then adjust pieces so they look even.
  • Step 13Attach a loop of yarn to hang your decoration!
