Tis’ the season to get crafty with our Christmas craft ideas. We will get you in the Christmas spirit with hundreds of activities to choose from.

Fibre Mesh Flowers

  • Each flower uses two layers. These instructions will make five flowers but can be adjusted to make any amount you like.
  • Step 1Using the template provided, trace and cut out five flowers in each colour.
  • Secure the top of the yarn with tape to prevent it sliding off the driftwood.
  • Step 2Place one coloured flower on top of another coloured flower.
  • Step 3Fold the two flowers in half.
  • Step 4Fold the flowers in half a second time.
  • Step 5Cut the small, pointed, corner piece off the folded flower and then open it up.
  • Step 6Poke the end of a piece of driftwood through the hole in the centre of the flower.
  • Step 7Push the flower towards the piece of driftwood sticking out of the flower centre. Use a piece of masking tape to secure the base of the flower to the driftwood. This will also hold it in more of a ‘flower’ shape.
  • Step 8Using coloured yarn, begin wrapping the driftwood from the flower base and then working your way down the driftwood.
  • Step 9Tie or tape the yarn to finish and enjoy your bouquet!
