Step 1Assemble your 3D people before decorating for easy construction. For permanent assembly you will need to glue the pieces together.
Step 2Give your wooden people a coat of white paint. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
Step 3Give your wooden people a coat of skin coloured paint. Allow to dry.
Step 4Cut out outfits for Mr and Mrs Claus from self-adhesive felt and glitter foam. Look to our design for inspiration or create your own! Attach to your wooden people.
Peel the paper backing from the felt or foam to reveal the adhesive surface.
Step 5Cut out a belt from black self-adhesive felt. Attach to Mr and Mrs Claus.
Step 6To make a buckle, cut out a small circle from gold glitter foam. Attach to the belt.
Step 7Create Santa’s hat from red self-adhesive felt. Attach to Mr Claus’ head.
Step 8Attach cotton balls for Mr and Mrs Claus’ jackets and for Mr Claus’ beard and hat.
Step 9Create shoes with black paint. Allow to dry.
Step 10To create Mrs Claus’ hair, attach pieces of jute twine with glue. Allow to dry.
Step 11Attach a ribbon to Mrs Claus’ hair with glue.
Step 12Add facial features with felt and paint and your cute pair are complete!
