Step 1Print and cut out the templates provided. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2To create the wolf mask: Choose the colours of felt you would like to use for your wolf mask. We have chosen to use dark, realistic colours but you can use any colours of the rainbow! Place the mask base layer, mask top layer, nose and ear template pieces onto your chosen felt colours Trace around the templates then cut out the pieces.
Step 3Place the mask top layer felt piece over the mask base layer so it is aligned along the top, curved edge. Thread a length of embroidery thread through a needle and tie a knot in the other end. Adult supervision is recommended when using sewing needles. Sew a running stitch to join the felt layers in place, stitching around the edge of the top piece. Using our image as a guide, start the stitch towards the bottom so you can easily attach the nose piece over the top with the same length of thread.

Step 4Place the nose piece over the bottom section of the mask top layer. Sew a running stitch to secure the nose in place. Tie a knot at the back and trim any excess thread before removing the needle.
Step 5Use tacky glue to attach the ear felt pieces to the mask base piece, aligning the bottom edges with the mask top layer piece. Allow to dry.
Step 6Cut a 30cm length of elastic (you may need a smaller length depending on the size of your head). Flip your mask over and stitch each end of the elastic to each side of the mask. Tie a knot to secure the thread and trim any excess.
Step 7To create the wolf paws: Place the paw template piece onto your chosen colour of felt - we have chosen to use white. Trace around the shape and cut out. Flip the template over and repeat this process to create a second paw. Place the small paw pad template piece on a sheet of contrasting coloured felt – we have chosen to use black. Trace around the template piece then cut out. Repeat so you have 10 small paw pad pieces. Place the large paw pad template piece onto the felt, trace around and cut out. Repeat so you have two large paw pad pieces.
Step 8Stitch or glue the paw pads in position on the paw. You can use our image as a guide for placement. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 9Place your hand (with your fingers together) onto the back of a paw piece so it is centred. Make a mark with a pencil onto the felt on both sides of your fingers. Place a length of elastic over the two marks so there is about 3-4cm overhanging on each side then cut the elastic. Stitch the elastic to the felt paw on the marks you made, leaving a small tail of elastic on each end. Tie a knot to secure the thread then trim any excess. Repeat this process for the second paw.
