Book Covers & Bookmarks

Kick off the new school year with this fun colouring activity! Children of all ages will enjoy decorating and personalising their own book covers and matching bookmarks.
  • Step 1Download and print out the templates provided. We recommend using cover paper as it will be sturdy to decorate and cover your book.
  • CleverTip: The book covers are designed at A4 size for easy printing. You can enlarge them to any size required. To cover a book A4 size, we recommend printing them at A3.
  • Step 2Colour in the book covers and bookmarks with markers or pencils.
  • Step 3Cut out your bookmarks. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. If you printed your book covers with a boarder or margin around them, you may like to trim this off.
  • Step 4Cover your book/s with the completed book covers. Secure in place with tape.
  • Step 5Don’t forget to write your details on the front in the space provided!
  • CleverTip: If you’d like to add an extra protective layer to your books, you can add adhesive book covering over the top of your completed designs after wrapping your books.
  • Step 6On the top of your bookmark, use a hole punch to punch a hole. Thread through some ribbon and tie to secure.
  • CleverTip: Before threading the ribbon or yarn you may wish to laminate your bookmark for extra protection.
  • Step 7Your Book Covers and Bookmarks are now ready to use!
