Step 1Download and print out the template provided onto white cardboard.
Step 2Paint a pine cone and the template pieces using your choice of colour/s. You will also need to paint the back of the rectangle stand template pieces. Allow to dry.
Step 3Cut out the dinosaur template pieces and two rectangle stand shapes. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 4Using a glue gun, glue the short ends of the two rectangles together. Adult supervision is recommended when using a glue gun. Allow to dry. Accordion fold along the rectangles. Glue all of the folds together and allow to dry. Using a glue gun will help add weight and this will become the stand for your pine cone.
Step 5Apply a generous amount of glue to the top of your folded rectangles and place the pine cone horizontally onto the glue. Apply more glue as needed to ensure the pine cone is secured to the base. Allow to dry.
Step 6Glue two legs to the front of the folded stand and the pine cone tips as shown. Repeat for the other two legs on the opposite side.
Step 7Mountain fold along the dotted lines on the head and tail pieces. Glue the folded head piece together and repeat with the tail piece. Allow to dry. Glue the head to the top of the pine cone and the tail to the bottom as shown. Allow to dry.
Step 8Attach a wiggle eye onto each side of the head. Your Pine Cone Dinosaur is now ready to display!
