Harmony Week Flowers

Brainstorm important diversity-related words and use them to create a Harmony Week Diversity Flower! The perfect activity for Harmony Week and for exploring topics about inclusion and multiculturalism.
  • Begin this activity by discussing diversity and brainstorming words associated with this topic. Participants can then work individually on their Diversity Flowers before displaying them all together.
  • Step 1Start by decorating the top piece of your flower card - this is the cut out flower piece. We’ve chosen to create a simple coloured flower with a message in the centre encouraging diversity and inclusivity.
  • Step 2Decorate the base piece of your flower card. Add words related to harmony, diversity and inclusivity to each of the petals. You may also like to add a message around the outside of the flower.
  • Step 3Add glue to the grey section titled “Glue” in the middle of your base piece. Align the top flower in place on the card and press down in the centre to secure. Allow to dry. Your Harmony Week Diversity Flower is now complete and ready to display! Bend up each of the petals to reveal the word below.
